HOW TO SAY
before doing something, and before you do something / before you did
something
The conjunction cÿn means before
cÿn mÿnd before going
cÿn siarad before speaking
______________________________
The phrase can be made more specific by adding the person or thing who does
the action
cÿn i ti ºfÿnd “before + to you +
going”.
______________________________
This can refer both to the past and the future, so it is equivalent to
‘before you went’ and ‘before you go’.
The use of this prepositional segment causes the soft mutation of the following
verbnoun.
