HOW TO SAY

before doing something, and before you do something / before you did something

 

The conjunction cÿn means before

 

cÿn mÿnd before going

cÿn siarad before speaking

The phrase can be made more specific by adding the person or thing who does the action

 

cÿn i ti ºfÿnd “before + to you + going”.

______________________________

 

This can refer both to the past and the future, so it is equivalent to ‘before you went’ and ‘before you go’.

 

The use of this prepositional segment causes the soft mutation of the following verbnoun.
