Ni’n Dou (= we two)
Glynfab. 1918

Extract from a book written in 1918 in what was the majority dialect of Wales at the beginning of the century (South-eastern Welsh). It is today all but gone as a result of the communities in this part of Wales having yielded to the imposition of the English language especially from 1920 onwards - in affect, having committed mass linguistic suicide by abandoning the language that had been spoken there for some over two and a half thousand years (British / Welsh), and raising the young in an alien language.
